Fort Caspar Museum and TotP Receive $23,000 Grant From Joint Powers Board to Stage Historical Recreation of the Play, which has been lost for over a century.

Performances: Sept. 14-16 at Natrona County High School
Auditions: Monday, July 31 and Tuesday, August 1 at 7:00 PM; Call Backs Wednesday, August 2 (if necessary). Rehearsals begin Thursday, August 3. Please prepare a 2-3 minute monologue of your choosing. There will be a sign-in sheet, and actors will be seen on a first come, first served basis. Directed by William Conte.

Actors will be paid $500 each for their services.
Casting for the Following Roles:
Silas Denman: The aggrieved but worthy old man to whom Senator Rivers brings justice. Male, age 50+
Mabel Denman: His daughter, a virtuous young woman late 20s -mid 30s who has been carrying for her father, and is the love interest of both the Count and Senator Rivers.
Count Ernest von Strahl: “a man about thirty-five, very polished manners, with great warmth and sincerity.” Speaks with a German accent, is simultaneously seducing Mabel and Mrs. Lucy Armstrong.
Senator Hannibal Rivers: The hero of the piece; male age 30s-40s; a man of tremendous energy, optimism, confidence, intelligence, and good will.
Mrs. Hillary: A Washington D.C. society lady, widowed, and on the make for an appropriate match among the government elites. Female, age 40-50.
Alexander Armstrong: The Secretary of State of the United States of America; distinguished but a bit pompous. Male, age 40-60.
Mrs. Lucy Armstrong: The young wife of Secretary Armstrong; the Count tempts her to leave her husband; daughter of Mrs. Schuyler, stepmother of Josie Armstrong. Female, Age late 20s-mid 30s.
Isaiah Sharpless: An ex-Congressman of ill-repute, constantly looking for patronage and favors. The primary villain of the piece. Male, age 30-50. (THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST)
Mrs. Margaret Schuyler: A Washington D.C. society lady, also a widow; formidable and has a crush on Rivers. Female age 50+.
Lt. George Schuyler: US Army officer, formerly in love with Josie; Mrs. Schuyler’s nephew. Male, age 20s.
Josie Armstrong: Daughter of Secretary Armstrong; a Vassar educated “lively girl”; slangy, vivacious, an 1890s hipster. Female, age 20-25. (THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST)
Richard Vance: Senator Rivers’ personal assistant; earnest, hardworking, and a bit awkward; in love with Josie Armstrong. Male, age 25-30. (THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST)
Baron Ling Ching: The Ambassador from China; curious, naive, forthright. Male, age 20-40.
Erastus: Senator Rivers’ servant. Male, age 20+.
